At the Brno Lab of Intergroup Processes (BLIP), we are committed to the principles of open science. We strive to make our research transparent, accessible, and reproducible across all stages of the scientific process, including sharing our work as preprints prior to peer review.
Open science aims to increase the availability and verifiability of research outputs—including publications, data, and analytical materials—not only for researchers but also for the broader public. By adopting open practices, we contribute to more credible, accountable, and cumulative science.
In our research, we routinely implement key open science practices, including:
Open access publishing (gold and green open access)
Sharing data, materials, and analysis scripts in public repositories
Preregistration of study designs and hypotheses
Transparent research workflows
Beyond individual projects, our members actively contribute to large-scale international initiatives focused on improving robustness and reproducibility in social science, including Multi100 and the Institute for Replication.
To make open practices clearly visible, we use the following symbols in our list of publications:
🔓 = Open access (including green open access)
💾 = Open data and/or open materials
®️ = Preregistration or registered report
These indicators allow readers to easily identify studies with openly available outputs and transparent research practices.
