The Brno Lab of Intergroup Processes (BLIP) is a research lab within the Department of Personality and Social Psychology at the Institute of Psychology of the Czech Academy of Sciences. We conduct research in the psychology of intergroup relations, with a focus on improving tense relationships between social groups. We study interactions between social majorities and minorities (e.g., immigrants or stigmatized groups), relations between different minority groups, and processes of reconciliation in post-conflict societies. Our work examines how social norms, communication, and emerging technologies shape intergroup contact and prejudice, and we develop innovative methods to measure these processes.
